Job Description

Join our team as a Seasonal Barista in one of Pittsburgh’s bustling tourist destinations! We’re seeking energetic and friendly individuals to help us deliver exceptional coffee experiences during our peak season. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, serving both local enthusiasts and visitors from around the world. This temporary role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to be part of a beloved global brand, contributing to memorable moments for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and serve a wide range of coffee and espresso beverages, following Starbucks' recipes and standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, greeting customers warmly and taking orders accurately.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card transactions with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including beverage stations, customer areas, and restrooms.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Educate customers on menu items, special offerings, and merchandise.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during high-volume periods.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the peak tourist season.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role (3+ months preferred).
  • Prior barista experience is a plus, but not required – we can train you!
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
