Job Description
Join our team as a Seasonal Barista in one of Pittsburgh’s bustling tourist destinations! We’re seeking energetic and friendly individuals to help us deliver exceptional coffee experiences during our peak season. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, serving both local enthusiasts and visitors from around the world. This temporary role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to be part of a beloved global brand, contributing to memorable moments for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and serve a wide range of coffee and espresso beverages, following Starbucks' recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, greeting customers warmly and taking orders accurately.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card transactions with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including beverage stations, customer areas, and restrooms.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Educate customers on menu items, special offerings, and merchandise.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during high-volume periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the peak tourist season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role (3+ months preferred).
- Prior barista experience is a plus, but not required – we can train you!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
