Window World of Grand Rapids is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Gutter Cleaning Trainee to join our growing team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn a trade, develop valuable skills, and contribute to the beauty and functionality of homes in our community. We provide all necessary training and full safety gear, ensuring you have the tools and knowledge to succeed safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and master proper gutter cleaning techniques under supervision.
- Assist experienced technicians in safely accessing and cleaning gutters on various residential properties.
- Ensure proper disposal of debris and leave work sites clean.
- Inspect gutters and downspouts for blockages and damage, reporting findings to senior staff.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use provided safety equipment at all times.
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service while on job sites.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights (with proper training and safety gear).
- Reliable transportation to and from our Grand Rapids location.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role or outdoor work is a plus, but not required.
- Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and roofs (with safety gear and training).
