Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Timely pickup and delivery of freight, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, fleet managers, and customers.
- Ensure the securement of cargo to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Recent graduation from an accredited CDL training program
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
