Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Student Warehouse Hands to join our Costa Mesa team. This temporary position is ideal for students looking for flexible work hours and an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are handled safely and accurately, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload merchandise and materials from vehicles, pallets, and shelves using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards.
- Ensure all items are scanned, labeled, and prepared for dispatch or storage accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed (training provided).
- Assist in inventory counts and maintain accuracy of stock records.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Report any damaged goods or safety concerns to supervisory staff immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 49 pounds) throughout a shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labor role.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
