Job Description

As a FedEx Ground Inventory Hand, you will play a crucial role in our West Covina facility, ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of packages and materials within our inventory system. This demanding role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, shift-based environment. You will be responsible for scanning, sorting, loading, and unloading packages, as well as maintaining meticulous inventory records to uphold our commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate scanning, sorting, and staging of packages and materials.
  • Load and unload packages from trailers, conveyors, and other vehicles.
  • Maintain organized inventory areas, ensuring proper storage and retrieval.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with precision.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily operational goals.
  • Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate records of inventory movement.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for scanning and data entry.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control setting.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety standards.
