Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to join our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of packages and freight across our network, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal resource utilization. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute to our mission from the comfort of your home office. You will manage dispatching operations, communicate with drivers and clients, resolve logistical challenges, and maintain meticulous records. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily dispatch operations, including route planning and driver assignments.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise in real-time.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including pick-ups, deliveries, and service changes.
- Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness using dispatch software and tools.
- Respond promptly to urgent requests and unforeseen circumstances, adapting plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
