Job Description
Join the Hy-Vee team as a Night Replenishment Grocery Stocking Auditor! In this crucial role, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our overnight stocking operations. You will be responsible for meticulously auditing stocked shelves, verifying product placement, inventory counts, and ensuring that all items are correctly priced and displayed according to planograms. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently during night hours to maintain our high standards for customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of grocery aisles post-replenishment, verifying stock levels against inventory records.
- Ensure accurate product placement, proper signage, and adherence to store planograms.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory, pricing, or product freshness to management.
- Assist with occasional stock replenishment as needed to maintain operational flow.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, especially during night operations.
- Collaborate with the night crew and store management to optimize stocking processes.
- Document audit findings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory verification.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during night shifts.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with inventory management systems or handheld scanning devices.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations and merchandising standards.
- Prior experience in an auditing or quality control role.
