Job Description
A warm and friendly family based in West Bridgford, Nottingham, is seeking a reliable and caring Private Nanny to support their children during the crucial afternoon hours. This part-time position involves collecting children from school, assisting with homework, preparing snacks, and engaging in age-appropriate activities until their parents return home. The ideal candidate will be someone with a genuine passion for childcare, who can create a stimulating and safe environment, fostering growth and happiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform school pick-ups reliably at scheduled times (typically 3 PM).
- Prepare nutritious and engaging afternoon snacks.
- Assist children with homework and school projects, providing encouragement and support.
- Organize and supervise engaging indoor and outdoor activities.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain a tidy and organized environment for the children's play areas and belongings.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities and any observations or concerns.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience with relevant age groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable ability to organize engaging activities for children.
- Proactive, reliable, and punctual nature.
- Valid First Aid and Pediatric CPR certification.
- Clean DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, CACHE Level 3 Diploma).
- Full UK driving license with access to own vehicle.
- Experience with similar afternoon nanny roles.
- Knowledge of local schools and extracurricular activities in West Bridgford area.
