Job Description
Are you ready to be a weekend hero? FedEx is seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team as Weekend Warehouse Warriors in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is perfect for those looking for consistent weekend work with premium Saturday and Sunday rates. You will play a crucial part in our package handling process, ensuring packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort, load, and unload packages by hand, scanning labels, and placing them in correct locations.
- Operate powered industrial equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Handle packages weighing up to 75 lbs individually and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physical labor role.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
