Job Description
Are you passionate about travel and eager to inspire the next generation? AAA Travel is seeking a High School Service Partner with a focus on Tourism & Travel to join our team in Ogden, UT. In this unique role, you will be instrumental in developing and nurturing relationships with local high schools, presenting exciting opportunities in the tourism and travel sector, and promoting educational programs. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic about community engagement, has excellent communication skills, and is dedicated to making a positive impact on young minds considering careers or interests in travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with high school administrators, teachers, and student groups within the Ogden area.
- Present engaging informational sessions and workshops to students about the diverse career paths and opportunities within the tourism and travel industry.
- Promote AAA travel programs, educational trips, and travel safety awareness to high school communities.
- Organize and facilitate interactive events, career fairs, or guest speaker sessions focused on travel and tourism.
- Identify potential internship, mentorship, or experiential learning opportunities for high school students within the travel sector.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high school inquiries related to travel, career guidance, and partnership initiatives.
- Gather feedback from schools and students to continuously improve program offerings and engagement strategies.
- Represent AAA Travel professionally at school events and community gatherings.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences, including students and educators.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Genuine passion for travel, tourism, and youth development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in community outreach, educational program development, or youth engagement.
- Familiarity with the local high school system and educational landscape in Ogden, UT.
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
