Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and analytically-minded Royalty Collections Analyst with a strong finance background to join our dynamic team. This remote position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely collection of royalties across various industries, including media, entertainment, and technology. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a financial context. You will be responsible for tracking, verifying, and reconciling royalty statements, identifying discrepancies, and working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve collection issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze royalty statements and agreements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Track and monitor royalty payments from various licensees and distributors.
  • Reconcile royalty statements against internal records and financial data.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in royalty reporting and payments.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses on royalty collections performance.
  • Communicate effectively with licensees, rights holders, and internal finance teams.
  • Support audit processes related to royalty income.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in royalty collection and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all royalty-related activities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or royalty administration.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with royalty management software or ERP systems.
