Job Description
Are you passionate about thrifting and possess a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy discovering unique treasures while contributing to a great cause? Goodwill Industries of Colorado is seeking enthusiastic Thrift Store Secret Shoppers to help us maintain and enhance the quality of our customer experience and merchandise presentation across our Colorado Springs locations. As a Secret Shopper, you will visit our stores anonymously, evaluating various aspects from customer service to store cleanliness and item quality, ensuring our stores consistently reflect Goodwill’s commitment to excellence and community service. Your insights will directly impact our operations, helping us to improve and better serve our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Anonymously visit assigned Goodwill thrift store locations within Colorado Springs.
- Observe and evaluate the overall store environment, including cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
- Assess the quality, pricing, and variety of merchandise available, with a focus on identifying unique or high-value items.
- Interact with store staff to evaluate customer service, helpfulness, and adherence to company standards.
- Complete detailed and objective evaluation reports following each visit, providing constructive feedback and observations.
- Adhere to all guidelines and instructions provided for each secret shopping assignment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all evaluation findings and shopping activities.
- Submit reports within specified deadlines.
Required Skills
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
- Ability to remain anonymous and objective during store visits.
- Reliable access to transportation and ability to travel to various store locations.
- Basic computer literacy for submitting online reports.
- High level of integrity and honesty.

- Previous experience in retail or customer service roles.
- A passion for thrifting, upcycling, or sustainable shopping.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various store operating hours.
