Job Description

BetterUp is seeking an exceptional Remote Yes-Man/Woman Mentor to guide our members in breaking through comfort zones, fostering resilience, and achieving breakthrough growth. In this pivotal remote role, you will work one-on-one with individuals, leveraging your wisdom and empathy to help them navigate challenges, embrace new opportunities, and cultivate a growth mindset. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to make a profound impact from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual mentorship sessions, providing personalized guidance and support.
- Collaborate with mentees to develop clear, actionable growth plans focused on comfort zone expansion and goal achievement.
- Facilitate workshops or group sessions on topics such as resilience, calculated risk-taking, emotional intelligence, and self-advocacy.
- Provide constructive, inspiring feedback and encouragement to foster confidence and progress.
- Utilize BetterUp's platform to track mentee progress, document interactions, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Serve as a thought partner, challenging limiting beliefs and encouraging bold decision-making.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and personal development within the BetterUp community.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in coaching, mentorship, or a related leadership development role.
- Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and compelling storytelling.
- High degree of empathy, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and empower individuals to overcome obstacles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to diverse mentee needs and challenges.
- Deep understanding of human psychology, behavior change, and personal development principles.
- Proficiency with virtual communication tools and a comfort with technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized coaching body (e.g., ICF, EMCC).
- Background in psychology, organizational development, human resources, or education.
- Experience working with diverse professional backgrounds and industries.
- Personal track record of successfully breaking through significant comfort zones and achieving personal breakthroughs.
- Familiarity with the BetterUp platform or similar digital coaching solutions.
