Job Description

Join our dynamic team at Subway as a Sandwich Artist Trainee with a primary focus on food preparation! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of the food service industry, specifically mastering the art of fresh ingredient preparation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of all our menu items by diligently washing, cutting, and organizing vegetables, meats, and cheeses. While the focus is on prep, you will also gain valuable experience in sandwich artistry, customer service, and maintaining a sparkling clean restaurant environment. This is an immediate start position with comprehensive on-the-job training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, and slicing a variety of fresh vegetables, meats, and cheeses.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and communicate needs to management to ensure adequate stock.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines meticulously to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Learn and adhere to Subway's exact standards for portion control, freshness, and product presentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of custom-made sandwiches and salads as needed, following customer requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Support team members with various duties to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
