Job Description
Tourneau | Bucherer is seeking an exceptionally skilled and dedicated Horologist / Master Watchmaker to join our esteemed service center in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a unique opportunity for a master craftsman to work with a diverse range of high-end luxury timepieces, performing complex repairs, restorations, and precise adjustments. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous professional with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and quartz movements, capable of maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repair, and restoration of luxury mechanical and quartz timepieces.
- Execute intricate work including movement overhauls, regulation, casing, and aesthetic restoration.
- Ensure all repairs meet the strict quality standards of various luxury watch brands and Tourneau | Bucherer.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for precise measurement, adjustment, and component fabrication.
- Manage repair workflow efficiently, track progress, and communicate effectively with service advisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workbench environment.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, techniques, and brand-specific requirements in horology.
- Mentor junior watchmakers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated mastery in the repair and servicing of a wide array of luxury watch brands (e.g., Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Patek Philippe).
- Proficiency in diagnosing and rectifying complex movement issues.
- Exceptional dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of watch mechanics, metallurgy, and material science.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English for technical documentation and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- WOSTEP, CW21, or equivalent international watchmaking certification.
- Specialized training from major luxury watch manufacturers.
- Experience with vintage timepiece restoration.
- Bilingual capabilities (e.g., French, German, Swiss German).
- A portfolio showcasing complex repair or restoration projects.
