Job Description

Waste Management is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Weekend Recycling Hand at our modern plant in Pasco, Washington. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials such as paper, plastics, glass, and metals on a conveyor belt or sorting line.
- Ensure materials are free from contaminants to maintain quality standards.
- Operate basic plant equipment safely and efficiently, as instructed.
- Perform general cleanup and maintenance duties in the sorting area to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other plant operations as needed, supporting the overall team effort.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify different material types.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Commitment to working safely and following all safety guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or recycling environment is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with waste sorting processes or material handling.
