Job Description

Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for economics and a keen interest in data analysis? Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated Junior Economic Researcher to join our dynamic team in Downtown Sacramento. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to develop robust quantitative analysis skills within a professional consulting environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior researchers and consultants in collecting, cleaning, and managing large datasets relevant to economic analysis.
  • Support the development and application of quantitative models for forecasting, impact assessment, and policy evaluation.
  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize economic research to inform project approaches and findings.
  • Prepare preliminary drafts of reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Learn and utilize various statistical and econometric software (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS).
  • Participate in client meetings and internal project discussions, contributing insights as appropriate.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of economic principles, statistical methods, and industry-specific trends.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated foundational understanding of economic principles and statistical concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of curiosity and a proactive approach to learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS) through coursework or personal projects.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
