Job Description
Are you looking for a physically engaging role that doubles as a great workout? The Home Depot in West Covina is seeking motivated and strong individuals to join our team as a Hardware Store Loader. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is well-stocked and our customers receive efficient service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks, often involving heavy and bulky items.
- Transport products from the receiving area to designated storage locations or sales floors.
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles, providing friendly and efficient service.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness in the receiving, storage, and sales floor areas.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, if certified or trained.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent physical stamina, agility, and endurance.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- Commitment to following safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
