Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and hardworking Farm Pickers to join our team in Southampton. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week guaranteed, with additional opportunities for overtime. As a Farm Picker, you will play a crucial role in harvesting and preparing our fresh produce, ensuring it meets our rigorous quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a dynamic agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Harvesting a variety of crops according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Carefully picking and handling produce to prevent damage.
- Packing freshly picked items into crates or containers.
- Assisting with sorting, grading, and preparing produce for distribution.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in the field.
- Following all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Working collaboratively with team members to achieve daily harvest targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform repetitive tasks, bending, and lifting in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality and accurate picking.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in farm work or a similar outdoor physical role.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- A full UK driving license and access to transport is beneficial due to farm location.
