Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our EA Sports team, focusing on contributing to high-growth tech initiatives while working remotely from Fairbanks, Alaska. In this role, you will be an integral part of ensuring the highest quality of our award-winning sports titles. You will collaborate closely with development teams, identify and document defects, and help drive the continuous improvement of our testing processes. This position is perfect for someone passionate about gaming, with a keen eye for detail, and a desire to contribute to a world-class entertainment product.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Document, track, and report bugs clearly and concisely using issue tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback on game quality, usability, and performance.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews, contributing to an agile development environment.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Passion for video games, especially sports titles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
