Job Description
Are you a responsible, caring individual looking for a flexible part-time role that fits your schedule? College Nannies, Sitters + Tutors of Lubbock is seeking enthusiastic Nannies to support families in the Lubbock area. This opportunity is ideal for stay-at-home parents seeking supplemental income or students looking for meaningful work experience that accommodates their academic commitments. You will provide engaging, reliable, and safe childcare in a family’s home, fostering a positive environment for children’s growth and development. We are looking for individuals who can commit to consistent hours, but we offer flexibility in scheduling to ensure a good fit for both our nannies and the families we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and engaging care for children in their home environment.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate activities, including creative play, educational games, and outdoor adventures.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for children.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area.
- Follow established household rules and routines.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding their children's day and any relevant observations.
- Ensure children's safety at all times, including during outings and activities.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and a nurturing demeanor.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage children of varying ages.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations calmly.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare (e.g., babysitting, daycare, camp counselor).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related fields.
- References from previous childcare positions.
