Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WFH Apple Systems Analyst with a strong infrastructure focus to join our dynamic remote team. This is a critical role responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our enterprise Apple infrastructure. The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in macOS, iOS, and related Apple technologies to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing systems. This position requires an individual who can work autonomously, provide expert guidance, and continuously seek ways to optimize our Apple ecosystem across a large-scale, distributed environment. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Apple infrastructure solutions, including macOS, iOS, and related services, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Administer and optimize Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune) for Apple devices.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, AppleScript) for routine tasks, system deployments, and configuration management.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex Apple hardware and software issues.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across the Apple device fleet, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Apple systems with existing enterprise infrastructure and applications.
- Evaluate new Apple technologies and solutions, making recommendations for their adoption and integration.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Apple systems administration and infrastructure support.
- Expertise in macOS and iOS operating systems.
- Proficiency with enterprise-level MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, AppleScript) for automation.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and wireless technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD integration with Apple systems.
- Knowledge of Apple security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
- Project management experience in IT infrastructure initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
