Job Description
Join HCA Healthcare as a Policy Analyst and play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare. You will be instrumental in analyzing healthcare policy, regulatory changes, and their potential impact on our operations and patient care. This position requires a keen understanding of legislative processes, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills to translate complex policy into actionable insights for our leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, research, and analyze federal and state healthcare legislation, regulations, and policy proposals.
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Assess the potential operational, financial, and clinical impacts of new or changing healthcare policies on HCA Healthcare.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, government relations, and operational teams to ensure alignment and effective policy implementation.
- Represent HCA Healthcare in meetings with policymakers, trade associations, and other external stakeholders as needed.
- Support the development of HCA Healthcare's policy positions and advocacy strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the evolving healthcare landscape and emerging policy trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in policy analysis, government relations, or a related field, preferably within healthcare.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at both federal and state levels.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Health Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with legislative bodies or government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
