Job Description
The Pasco Public Library is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 14-year-old for a Part-Time Library Assistant position. This role is perfect for a young individual looking for their first job experience in a quiet, organized environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve the careful shelving and organization of library materials, ensuring our collection remains accessible and orderly for all patrons. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately shelve books, magazines, and other library materials according to the Dewey Decimal System or other designated classifications.

- Assist with tidying reading areas and common spaces to ensure a pleasant library environment.
- Identify and report damaged or misplaced materials to library staff.
- Follow all library policies and procedures, especially those related to maintaining a quiet and respectful atmosphere.
- Provide basic assistance to patrons with locating materials (e.g., pointing to sections, not in-depth research assistance).
