Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) solutions to meet laboratory operational needs and business requirements.
  • Provide front-line technical support and troubleshooting for LIMS and integrated lab instruments, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with laboratory scientists and IT teams to gather requirements, implement system enhancements, and ensure seamless integration of new instruments and methodologies.
  • Develop and deliver user training programs and documentation for LIMS, promoting best practices and efficient system utilization.
  • Support data migration, data integrity checks, and reporting functions within the LIMS environment.
  • Participate in the validation and qualification of LIMS, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO).
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to continuous optimization initiatives.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and system configurations to uphold data security and system integrity.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects, representing the LIMS team and contributing technical expertise.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with hands-on experience in LIMS administration, support, or implementation.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GLP, GMP).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications and familiarity with database concepts (SQL preferred).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific LIMS platforms such as LabWare LIMS, Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS, STARLIMS, or similar.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Visual Basic) for LIMS customization or integration.
  • Understanding of instrument integration with LIMS and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience in project management or leading small-scale IT/lab system projects.
  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
