Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Factory Production Worker. This full-time position involves working rotating shifts in our state-of-the-art seafood processing facility in Lemon Creek, Juneau. You will be an integral part of our production line, responsible for various tasks to ensure the efficient and quality processing of Alaskan seafood. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the manufacturing sector, with no prior experience required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to all new hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line machinery and equipment under supervision.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Sort, grade, and pack seafood products accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Lemon Creek facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or food processing environment (though not required).
- Familiarity with seafood processing operations.
