Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Pinterest Search Quality Analyst with a strong focus on Google and Bing search principles. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in evaluating and improving the quality of search results on the Pinterest platform, leveraging your understanding of major search engine algorithms and user intent. Your insights will directly contribute to enhancing the user experience, ensuring relevancy, accuracy, and overall satisfaction for Pinterest users. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a deep familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and search result evaluation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the quality and relevance of Pinterest search results against established guidelines.
  • Analyze search queries and user intent, providing detailed feedback on result accuracy and usefulness.
  • Identify and document issues, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in search algorithms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to communicate findings and propose solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current search engine trends, algorithms (Google, Bing), and industry best practices.
  • Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent evaluation standards across the team.
  • Contribute to the refinement of evaluation guidelines and training materials.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in search quality evaluation, SEO, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in evaluating search results, understanding user intent, and identifying relevance factors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Deep familiarity with Google and Bing search engine functionalities, ranking factors, and search result types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Marketing, Linguistics).
  • Experience with Pinterest as a user or content creator.
