Are you a seasoned content analyst with an unparalleled understanding of the streaming landscape and a deep passion for Netflix content? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WFH Netflix Expert for High-Level Content Analysis to join our innovative and globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Oklahoma City area for occasional team meetups (though not mandatory).
In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of deciphering content performance across our vast global library. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques to provide deep insights into audience engagement, content trends, and strategic opportunities. Your work will directly influence our content acquisition, production, and programming decisions, helping Netflix continue to deliver unparalleled entertainment experiences to millions worldwide. We are looking for an expert who thrives in an autonomous environment, possesses an insatiable curiosity for data, and has a proven track record of translating complex information into clear, actionable strategies within the entertainment streaming industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of Netflix content performance metrics, viewership trends, and audience behavior across various demographics and geographies.
- Identify emerging content trends, audience consumption patterns, and competitive landscape shifts to inform strategic recommendations.
- Provide actionable insights to inform content strategy, acquisition decisions, and greenlighting processes for original productions.
- Collaborate effectively with data science, content development, marketing, and product teams to integrate analytical findings into broader company initiatives.
- Develop and present comprehensive content analysis reports, dashboards, and visualizations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the global streaming landscape, competitor strategies, and evolving consumer preferences.
- Proactively explore new methodologies and tools for content analysis to enhance our predictive capabilities.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with high-level content analysis, specifically within the streaming media or entertainment industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, and statistical software.
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create impactful reports and dashboards.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- A deep, nuanced understanding of Netflix's content catalog, audience segments, and business model.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Media Studies, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience working directly with large-scale entertainment data sets and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive modeling techniques applied to content analysis.
- Prior experience in a fully remote or highly distributed work environment.
