Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Emergency Room (ER) Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team in Irvine, CA. In this fast-paced environment, you will play a critical role in providing immediate, life-saving care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting.
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to medical emergencies, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and stroke.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Proficiency in emergency procedures and equipment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
