Job Description
CVS Health is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Pharmacy Students for a Pharmacy Tech Intern position. This role offers flexible hours designed to accommodate your academic schedule, providing invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. You will support our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care, learning critical aspects of pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with prescription intake, processing, and dispensing.
- Maintain patient profiles and ensure accuracy of medication records.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service under supervision.
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, and company policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic billing issues.
- Prepare prescription labels and ensure accurate medication packaging.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience.
- Completion of at least one year of pharmacy school coursework.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
