Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Fayetteville office. This role is central to supporting our legal team, ensuring the efficient operation of the office, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on legal office procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and phone communications with professionalism.
- Assist with client intake processes and maintain client relationships.
- Manage billing processes, expense reports, and other financial administrative tasks.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries.
- Perform legal research support as directed.
- Ensure office supplies are adequately stocked and equipment is maintained.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or similar role in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with legal document management systems and legal research platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with specific legal practice areas (e.g., litigation, corporate law).
- Familiarity with billing software (e.g., PCLaw, Clio, Time Slips).
