Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with various hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling.
- Provide excellent client care, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming salon experience.
- Perform basic hairdressing tasks such as shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon work area and equipment.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and mentorship sessions.
- Learn and apply new techniques and product knowledge.
- Build rapport with clients and contribute to a positive salon atmosphere.
- Support retail sales by recommending suitable hair care products.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Hairdressing
- Basic knowledge of hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
- Strong passion for the hairdressing industry and a desire to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Good time management and organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (even informal or through college placements) in a salon setting
