Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for long-haul routes across the country.
- Proactively select and manage your preferred loads, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment, reporting any necessary maintenance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and all required delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and fellow team members.
- Secure freight properly to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Over-The-Road (OTR) driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or preventable accidents.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELDs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Experience with refrigerated or specialized freight.
- Proven track record of safe driving and on-time deliveries.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
