Job Description
Join the Meijer team as an Inventory Tagger for casual weekend work. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed on our sales floor. You will be responsible for scanning, tagging, and organizing merchandise in our Fort Wayne store, contributing to an efficient and organized retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible weekend hours and a chance to gain experience in retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tag and re-tag merchandise with correct price labels and product information.
- Perform routine inventory counts and checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with receiving and organizing new shipments of products.
- Report discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the backroom and on the sales floor.
- Adhere to all company safety and security procedures.
- Support other retail operations as needed during weekend shifts.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry merchandise (up to 25 lbs) for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance for weekend shifts.
