Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Algorithmic Data Verifier to join our data verification team in Portsmouth, UK. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data processed through various algorithms and automated systems. Your primary focus will be on identifying discrepancies, troubleshooting data quality issues, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers to refine algorithmic performance. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of data quality our clients expect, directly impacting the reliability of insights and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute systematic data verification procedures against algorithmic outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and implement detailed test plans and cases for algorithmic data validation.
- Identify, document, and report data anomalies, errors, and discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and developers to debug and resolve data quality issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data verification methodologies and tools.
- Maintain comprehensive records of verification activities, findings, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry best practices.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for optimizing algorithmic performance and data processing workflows.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data verification, quality assurance, or data analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of data validation techniques and principles.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Familiarity with data manipulation tools (e.g., Python with Pandas, Excel for large datasets).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
