Job Description
Are you passionate about food and eager to kickstart your culinary career in a vibrant and supportive environment? The Greenbank Hotel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with a basic understanding of cooking who is keen to learn and develop their skills under the guidance of experienced chefs. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Learn and prepare basic dishes, sauces, and garnishes under supervision.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and standards.
