Job Description

American Airlines is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Cabin Crew team on a part-time basis, with a specific focus on weekend and holiday peak travel periods. This is an exciting opportunity for service-oriented professionals to contribute to creating a safe and pleasant flying experience for our passengers during our busiest times. You will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to safety and delivering world-class customer service aboard our aircraft, primarily operating out of Norfolk International Airport (ORF) or nearby regional hubs, serving routes critical during peak travel. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks and verify emergency equipment is in working order.
  • Demonstrate safety procedures, including the use of oxygen masks, seatbelts, and emergency exits.
  • Serve meals, beverages, and sell duty-free items (where applicable).
  • Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and stowing carry-on luggage.
  • Respond to passenger inquiries and provide assistance with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Handle medical emergencies and other unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Work flexible shifts, primarily focusing on weekends, public holidays, and other peak travel times.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, especially during emergencies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for long periods, reaching, lifting, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Bachelor's degree or some college coursework.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
