Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with understanding and navigating appointment schedules, clinic locations, and various services.
- Provide compassionate support and act as a primary point of contact for patients and their families.
- Help patients access necessary resources, including financial assistance, transportation, and support groups.
- Educate patients on pre-appointment requirements, necessary documentation, and follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff, administrative teams, and other departments to ensure coordinated care.
- Identify and address patient barriers to care, working proactively to resolve issues.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to show empathy, compassion, and patience in challenging situations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email, calendar management).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to patient support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field.
- Previous volunteer or paid experience in a customer service or patient-facing role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) to support our diverse patient community.
