Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team in Provo, UT. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential care in a low-stress clinical environment, focusing on individual patient needs within their homes. You will play a vital role in supporting our patients’ independence and well-being by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health status, and providing companionship. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor and record vital signs as instructed by a supervising nurse.
- Assist with light household tasks that are directly related to the patient's care.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient privacy policies.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Utah (or ability to obtain).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
