Job Description
Join Rumpke Waste & Recycling as a Part-time Weekend Recycling Hand at our state-of-the-art facility in Lexington, KY. This essential role involves working within a modern recycling plant, contributing to the efficient sorting and processing of recyclable materials. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and separate various recyclable materials on a conveyor belt, ensuring quality and adherence to processing guidelines.
- Operate light machinery or equipment as needed, following strict safety protocols.
- Perform general cleanup and maintenance tasks within the plant to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Identify and remove contaminants from the recycling stream efficiently and accurately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly to ensure immediate attention.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks in a demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify different material types.
