Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Software Support Tech to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting blend of information technology and healthcare, focusing on supporting our critical pharmacy software systems. As an integral part of our IT support team, you will ensure the seamless operation of applications vital to pharmacy efficiency and patient safety. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for pharmacy management software, point-of-sale systems, and related hardware.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software and system issues reported by pharmacy staff, escalating complex problems to senior IT teams when necessary.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of pharmacy software applications and updates.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and system changes accurately in the IT service management system.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Participate in testing new software versions and system enhancements to ensure functionality and compatibility.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pharmacy workflows and regulatory requirements to provide context-aware support.

Required Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical customer service roles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications and operating systems (Windows).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and hardware troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting pharmacy management systems (e.g., Epic Willow, RxConnect, PioneerRx) or healthcare-specific software.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications.
