Job Description

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Hilton Munich Park. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu development and quality control to staff management and financial performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse culinary team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal availability, guest preferences, and current culinary trends.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, sanitation, and inventory management.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste across all dining outlets.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, control food and labor costs, and achieve financial targets.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director and other department heads to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for high-quality ingredients.
  • Address guest feedback and resolve any culinary-related issues promptly and professionally.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 5 years in an Executive Chef or Head Chef role within a luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of international cuisine, culinary techniques, and food trends.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory.
  • Exceptional creativity and a passion for developing innovative dishes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience working in a multi-outlet hotel environment.
  • Familiarity with German culinary traditions and local produce.
  • Proficiency in German language.
