Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented User Trust & Safety Analyst with a specific focus on Pinterest policy to join our growing team in Reno, NV. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, identifying violations of Pinterest’s community guidelines, and taking appropriate action to ensure a safe and positive experience for all users. This position requires a strong understanding of online content policies, excellent critical thinking skills, and a commitment to maintaining platform integrity. You will be at the forefront of protecting users and upholding brand values.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content (pins, comments, boards, etc.) on the Pinterest platform according to established community guidelines and policies.
- Accurately identify and action policy violations, including but not limited to hate speech, misinformation, self-harm, harassment, and explicit content.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into complex policy violations and user reports.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive content with discretion and empathy.
- Collaborate with team leads and quality assurance to ensure consistent policy enforcement and provide feedback on emerging trends.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of trust and safety processes and guidelines.
- Utilize internal tools and systems efficiently for content review and case management.
- Provide clear and concise rationales for policy decisions.
- Stay informed about updates to Pinterest policies and online safety best practices.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of emotional intelligence and resilience when exposed to sensitive content.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to online safety and user protection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Sociology, Criminology).
- Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, or online policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with Pinterest's platform and community guidelines.
- Experience with case management systems or ticketing tools.
- Understanding of internet trends and online behavioral patterns related to platform abuse.
