Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior flight dispatchers in planning and monitoring flight operations.
- Learn to prepare and disseminate flight plans, considering weather, NOTAMs, aircraft performance, and air traffic control requirements.
- Monitor flights in progress and provide updates to flight crews regarding changes in conditions or operational status.
- Familiarize yourself with aviation regulations (FAA, ICAO) and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with pilots, maintenance personnel, and air traffic control.
- Support in analyzing meteorological data and making informed decisions regarding flight safety and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to advance dispatching knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interest in aviation and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn specialized software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Meteorology, or a related field.
- Prior experience or coursework in aviation.
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (or willingness to obtain one quickly).
- Familiarity with aviation weather services and flight planning software.
