Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Textbook Packers for a seasonal, high-demand period. As a Textbook Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that educational materials are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment to schools and institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the education sector and work in a dynamic warehouse environment during our peak season.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack textbooks and other educational materials according to order specifications.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are free from damage before packing.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling, sealing, and organizing for pick-up.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand English order forms and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or light industrial setting.
- Experience using an RF scanner.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
