Job Description
Pasco-Hernando State College is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented students to join our team as Student Lab Support. Key Responsibilities
- Assist faculty and lab technicians with daily lab operations, including setting up and breaking down experiments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents, reporting needs to supervisors.
- Provide basic technical assistance to students during lab sessions.
- Prepare solutions, media, and other materials as directed.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines within the lab.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping related to lab activities.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled as a student at Pasco-Hernando State College or another accredited institution.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior coursework in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields.
