Job Description

Pet Care is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Student Dog Walkers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs on assigned routes, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain a consistent schedule with clients, arriving on time for all appointments.
- Provide fresh water and basic care as needed during walks.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pet's activities and any observations.
- Follow specific client instructions for each dog, including leash preferences and special needs.
- Ensure the safety of the dog and public at all times during walks.
- Report any concerns or incidents to Fetch! Pet Care management promptly.
- Clean up after pets during walks.
Required Skills
- Genuine love and compassion for animals, especially dogs.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to walk dogs in various weather conditions and for extended periods.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with dog walking, pet sitting, or animal care.
- Knowledge of basic dog behavior and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Familiarity with the Durham, NC area and local parks/walking routes.
- Certification in pet first aid and CPR.
