Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Shopify QA Tester to join our growing e-commerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Shopify-powered online store features through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring a seamless and positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive manual test cases for new and existing Shopify store features, integrations, and updates.
- Identify, document, and report bugs and defects clearly and concisely using our issue tracking system.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand feature requirements and provide timely feedback.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
- Monitor and report on the overall quality of the Shopify platform and associated applications.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester, specifically with e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of the Shopify platform and its functionalities.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of automated testing concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
