Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Salon Equipment Fitter to join our growing team. In this manual role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of various salon equipment, including chairs, wash units, styling stations, and more, for our valued clients across the region. This position requires significant travel to client locations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client salon locations to install new salon equipment efficiently and professionally.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing salon equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble complex equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct on-site assessments to ensure proper fit and functionality of equipment.
- Provide clear instructions to salon staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and parts used.
- Manage and organize company tools and vehicle inventory effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on client premises.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude and comfort with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or a related manual trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Familiarity with salon or spa equipment.
- Previous experience in a field service or mobile technician role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
