Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Aide to join our team for part-time afternoon shifts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacy staff with non-dispensing tasks such as managing inventory, organizing shelves, and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area, including counters, waiting areas, and storage rooms.
- Process customer transactions at the register and handle cash, credit, and debit payments accurately.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate pharmacy personnel or department.
- Support customer inquiries regarding prescription pickup, over-the-counter products, and general pharmacy services.
- Ensure confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work part-time afternoon shifts, including some weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy operations (a plus, but not required).
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are an asset.
